"Mama Lover" (Russian: Мама Люба; Mama Lyuba) is a song by Russian group and songwriters Serebro, which is due to be released on their second upcoming studio album. The song was written by member Olga Seryabkina and produced and written by Maxim Fadeev, which was released on September 15, 2011 by Monolit Records and Ello. Mama Lover is the eighth single from Serebro. The single was originally released on August 8, 2011 however, when it was announced a music video was going to be released, a Russian release had to follow. There are two official versions; the English version and the Russian version. Both versions were released as a digital download.[2]
Mama Lover had debuted at number two-hundred and six on the Russian Singles Chart. It later rose to number twenty-four after four weeks in the charts.[3] However, Мама Люба is currently peaking at number eight in Russia.[4]
A music video was released on Youtube on September 15, 2011. However, the Russian version of the song was released instead of the lead English version, although the English version was the official single release. The music video features Elena, Anastasia and Olga driving through Russia, through a live-camera-shot based film. It received some censorship, as it featured Olga swearing and Elena showing her underwear, although it was pixelated.[5] It is currently there most viewed music video to date, getting viewed over 10 million views on youtube. Threw some websites, the video has sometimes been critizied for the girls being quite 'careless' in the video, with the video showing censorship, condoms, swearing and with Olga having careless driving as well.
